If you are doing some holiday hosting this season and need a few easy Christmas cupcake decorating ideas, we’ve got ’em!
You don’t have to be a professional baker to execute these cute ideas. You also could create any of these with a homemade cupcake and frosting recipe OR store-bought options.
Here are four easy Christmas cupcake ideas: Santa, Snowman, Reindeer, and a Christmas Tree.

How to Make Snowman Cupcakes:
Spread white frosting over the top of the cupcake, smoothing with an offset spatula or spoon. Then, dip the cupcake in a bowl of white sprinkles or sugar sprinkles. Use black sugar pearls and a carrot sprinkle to create the face.
How to Make Santa Cupcakes:
You will need three colors of frosting: white, red, and whatever skin tone you want your Santa to have.
Pipe an oval shape of the skin tone color in the center of the cupcake. Then, pipe a white beard and red hat on top. Then, use sprinkles to add accents like a red nose (using a mini M&M), eyes, and white sprinkles on the hat.
How to Make Reindeer Cupcakes:
Pipe chocolate frosting on top of the cupcake. Then, add eyeball sprinkles, a red nose, and mini pretzels for the antlers.
How to make Christmas Tree Cupcakes:
Frost the top of a cupcake with green frosting. Then, add an ice cream cone on top, pressing down into the frosting so it stays put.
Pipe green frosting all along the outside of the cone, covering it like an evergreen tree. Then, add white sprinkles for “snow” or “Christmas lights.”
